Volunteer at Hampshire Air Festival 2026

Hampshire Air Festival is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver our inaugural event at Thruxton Aerodrome from 11-13 September 2026.

Whether you're passionate about aviation, events, customer service or simply want to support a major new community event, we'd love to hear from you.

Our volunteers will play a vital role in helping create an unforgettable experience for visitors, exhibitors, participants and aircraft crews.

What You'll Be Doing

Volunteer roles may include:

  • Welcoming visitors
  • Supporting event operations
  • Assisting the event team across the festival site
  • Helping deliver an outstanding visitor experience

Specific duties and shift details will be provided to successful applicants.

What You Will Receive

All volunteers will receive:

  • Event briefing and support
  • Volunteer T-shirt
  • Volunteer hat
  • Food vouchers
  • Tea, coffee and refreshments in the volunteer break area
  • Volunteer tabard whilst on duty
  • Travel expenses
  • The opportunity to be part of Hampshire Air Festival's inaugural year
  • A friendly and supportive team environment
  • Two Sunday admission tickets for family or friends - these tickets are intended for guests of the volunteer and are not for use by the volunteer themselves.

Travel Expenses

Volunteers can claim mileage up to 25 miles each way.

In exceptional circumstances, this may be increased for the right volunteer.

Please note that accommodation and hotel costs cannot be reimbursed.

Camping

A dedicated campsite area is planned for volunteers and marshals. Further details will be provided to successful applicants.

Volunteering at Hampshire Air Festival is an opportunity to help deliver the event and support visitors.

Volunteer positions are working roles and applicants should be aware that they may not have the opportunity to watch the flying display whilst on duty.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a volunteer position.

We expect demand to exceed the number of volunteer spaces available and will select volunteers based on the needs of the event.
